Dina Iordanova is Professor of Global Cinema at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, and a Visiting Professor in Comparative Literature at the University of Hong Kong. Starting as specialist in European culture, she developed interest in global issues and particularly in Asia. Iordanova has published extensively on matters of transnational cinema, the global circulation of culture, film festivals, and cross-cultural representation. Author of fifteen authored and edited books, she is Director of the Institute of Global Cinema and Creative Cultures.


Co-organized by the Committee on Gender Equality and Diversity and the Department of Comparative Literature, Faculty of Arts.
